Our Mission The Zonta Club of New York is dedicated to advancing the status of women locally and globally, to serving our community and the world at large through service. We offer the opportunity to achieve personal and professional growth in a nurturing and supportive environment. The Zonta Club of New York was the 20th club chartered by Zonta International in May 1923. Zonta International is a worldwide service organization of executives in business and the professions working together to advance the legal, political, economic, education, health and professional status of women. Founded in 1919 in Buffalo, New York, the headquarters is located in Chicago, Illinois. Zonta International has 1,249 clubs with 32,600 members in 68 countries. Zonta International is divided into 30 districts around the world. The Zonta Club of New York is located in District 3, comprised of 38 clubs in six states (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia) and the District of Columbia.
